In short

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, on servers in Germany. We have a data processing agreement with STRATO (Art. 28 GDPR).

When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. The server stores these in log files to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a stable and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after 7 days. Connections are encrypted (TLS).

Contact form and email

If you register interest, we receive your name, work email, institution and, if you add them, your notes. The form sends these details to our NeuroLens team by email. They are not stored in a database on the web server.

We use them only to answer you and to discuss NeuroLens with you. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and steps prior to a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The same applies if you email us directly.

We do not pass your details to third parties. We delete them when your request is settled, at the latest 24 months after our last contact, unless statutory retention periods for business correspondence apply.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by email to neurolens@hyperion-his.com.

Contacts at congresses

At our booth you can leave your name, work email, institution and an optional note on a tablet or your phone. Our staff may also note your details when you give us your business card or ask us to get in touch, together with a short note on what we discussed and, if you hand us one, a photo of your business card.

These entries are stored in a protected file on our web server at STRATO and sent to our NeuroLens team by email. Only our team can access them. We use the entries only to follow up on your visit. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for the booth form, and our legitimate interest in following up on business contacts you started (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for notes taken by our staff. The same deletion rules as above apply.

Our internal pages use one technically necessary login cookie for Hyperion staff. No cookies are set for visitors.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). Write to info@hyperion-his.com.

You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Ours is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Postfach 20 04 44, 40102 Düsseldorf, Germany.

Automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
